"Optimization of passive safety systems"

Safety components for impact absorption made of the polyurethane molded foam Baysafe® are used in vehicle interiors as well as on the exterior. Energy-absorbing elements in the interior such as knee, pelvic and head bolsters undergo permanent deformation in the event of a collision. Bumpers on the exterior are provided with an energy-absorbing, reversibly deformable foam core. The insert molding of anchoring elements and the bonding of supports and decorative facings allows economical production.
