Highly stable sandwich elements made with the Baypreg® polyurethane system from BaySystems®, have already proved themselves in an enormous number of applications. Many leading manufacturers of high-strength moldings see Baypreg® as a viable alternative to conventional epoxy resins, not only because it is free of solvents and styrene, but also because it is suitable for all compression molding processes and compatible with a wide variety of different core materials and many reinforcing fiber materials. Good wetting and impregnation of such materials with the spray system is guaranteed.
Being a resin for sandwich structures in which optimum bonding of the individual elements is essential, Baypreg® is ideal for use in skis and snowboards. The high integration capacity of the polyurethane material means that it can be readily combined with decorative facings.
