Baypreg® F

Bonding with nature

Baypreg® F is a two-component polyurethane material for the production of interior automotive parts by compression molding. With the help of natural fiber mats, thin-walled interior cladding and lightweight lining components can be produced in an economical and environmentally friendly process. Alternatively, when combined with paper honeycomb and glass fiber mats, extremely lightweight sandwich combinations with good flexural and torsional stiffness can be manufactured. Typical examples of moldings made of Baypreg® F sandwich are spare wheel covers, trunk floors and separating walls, sunroofs, floor infill sections and parcel shelves.

Core competencies:
    • High flexural stiffness combined with light weight
    • High heat resistance and dimensional stability
    • Same coefficient of linear expansion as aluminum and steel
    • Excellent crash behavior
    • Direct integration of fixing and reinforcing elements
    • Short cycle times
