Baydur® STR

Lightweight construction in automotive design

Baydur® STR is a rigid integral skin polyurethane foam that can be used in combination with chopped strands, chopped glass rovings or glass fiber mats to produce a variety of automotive components. Inserts such as anchoring elements, hinges and even high-quality decorative facings can be integrated in one operation. There are many possible applications: Instrument panel supports, consoles, door panels, seat trim, seat shells and backrests, spare wheel wells and covers, luggage compartment floors and engine shrouds as well as pick-up truck boxes. The non-reinforced product is used for the production of rear spoilers painted in the body color.
